Rachel Bunting grew up in and around the Pine Barrens in southern New Jersey, where she currently still lives and works.  Her poems have appeared in several journals, including The Edison Literary Review, Mad Poets Review, The Barefoot Muse, Wicked Alice, Apple Valley Review, Shit Creek Review and US1 Worksheets.  She is the recipient of several awards, including first prize for poetry at the 2004 Philadelphia Writers Conference.  In 2007, her poems "Carnival" and "Exhumation" were nominated for a Pushcart Prizes.
